Interestingly, the re-release has witnessed overwhelming love from audiences, surpassing expectations and delivering impressive box office numbers.
Amid the renewed success, the filmmakers Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru have shared an exciting update regarding the sequel. Speaking with India Forums, they confirmed that the script for Sanam Teri Kasam 2 is ready and hinted at where Inder’s story will go next.
“Toh humare paas second part ready hai, aur we are absolutely sure ke Inder ki kahani kahan ja rahi hai iske baad. That’s why, in the end, when Inder stands near the tree and Suru’s voice echoes, it’s a subtle hint for what’s to come in part 2.”
On the growing demand for a sequel, they added, “Toh ab toh itna ho gaya hai ki part two agle Valentine pe toh laana hi padhega, because is Valentine pe everyone saw part 1. In fact, even the songs are nearly complete.”
Harshvardhan Rane’s Passion for the Sequel
Harshvardhan Rane, who won hearts as Inder, has been vocal about his desire for Sanam Teri Kasam 2. Recently, he took to Instagram to express his commitment to making the sequel a reality. Sharing a video of audience reactions to the film’s re-release, he announced, “I went below the producer’s office to request for a re-release, now the next step—I will do an 11-day (water-only) fast below his office to request him for Part 2. 9 years ago, the producer gave it their blood, the director gave it their sweat, Mawra gave it her soul, and now you gave it your tears!! I will give my life for Part 2, Tumhaari Kasam.”
As excitement builds, fans are eagerly waiting to see if Pakistani actress Mawra Hocane will return for Sanam Teri Kasam 2. While further details remain under wraps, anticipation continues to grow.
Sanam Teri Kasam Re-Release Box Office Performance
